Thrifty Thursday: Thrifted Outfits of the Week
When I was a child I wore my cousin's hand me downs, back to school shopping was whatever was on sale at a discount store, and designer styles came from outlets with holes in them.
Did I care then? Yes, yes I did. Because I was a child and didn't realize that clothing make you nothing more than a glorified mannequin.
As an adult I began to realize that I barely wear anything that's in my closet. Yoga pants and tshirts for the win! Plus, most of the clothes that's thrown away just ends up in a landfill taking up ridiculous amounts of space. Not good for the future. I'm not a hippie. I just hate waste. Although, I wouldn't have minded being a hippie in the 1960's because..well...reasons. So thrifting and rethrifting my outfits are no problem to me.
Each week I will be showcasing the numerous thrifted or second hand outfits that I have worn throughout the week. Enjoy!
The top is the only item that was thrifted in this photo. It's from Forever 21 and simply gorgeous because of its rose detail. I wear these pants on a weekly basis so they are a staple until they are completely worn. The ankle boots were purchased last year and come out to play every so often.
I have a closet on Poshmark.com and I shop there as well. This LuLaRoe dress screamed my name and it was less than $25! I can wear it in the cooler months with some boots and a denim jacket! 90's grunge lives on forever!
Shirt (Banana Republic), jeans (Old Navy Dreamer boot cut), and shoes (new with tags btw) were all thrifted!!!! The trifecta outfit! Normally, I don't do do thrifted shoes unless they are open toed so many of the shoes in my upcoming posts will more than likely be my own.
I plan on creating a weekly capsule wardrobe that I could put together whenever I go out. Since 80% of my closet is now thrifted, that will be a fun adventure!
See you next post!
